We discussed ways to improve the school spirit at Byrnes yesterday. Now I would like for you to think more about this and write about what we, as a school community can do to work towards an even greater environment of Rebel Pride. Think about what individual classes (seniors, juniors, and sophomores), as well as teachers, administration, school district personnel, and you as an individual Byrnes Rebel might do to generate more enthusiasm for the entire school community.

To me I think we can do more things like the other schools; like for example every school I know takes an old junk car and spray paints it and puts the other schools or teams name on it and like smash it. I know we don't have a lot of money, but we are not a poor school. I also think that if the teachers do things like play basketball against each other it will want to get more people into coming. As for the spirit stick its no surprise that the seniors always get it; I understand its their last year, but I think we all deserve a fair chance; and actually involve people in pep rally's, then they will want to come and do the fun things and dance and just be silly.

After the previous post and our discussion about Autumn the giraffe from the Greenville Zoo, write from the perspective of a giraffe.
You can be
Autumn, the giraffe who the world is anxiously waiting on to deliver her calf, Walter, her mate who has been separated from her during this last stage of pregnancy, or the unborn calf who unbeknownst to him/her will be taking its first breaths in front of hundreds of thousands of viewers.

I am the unborn calf in my mother Autumn's belly; what she don't know is that I am a girl! I already love my mother. I hear all the people who watch her say awe I can't wait till Autumn has her baby; which is me(: I can't wait to be born and see my mother and all of the people.

BHS:  Look at yesterday's assignment (Thurs. 10/11) and now that the debate is over. Do some research on news sites (cnn, msnbc, fox news, etc) and tell me what you think about the debate and the coverage of it. Who did better?  There was a lot of talk about it being very heated, confrontational, and even at times rude. Do you agree?
Also - it is called a DEBATE - isn't it suppose to be a little heated because the two debaters don't agree on the issues. That's why we have debates. Do you think the public opinion and the media have been overly sensitive about the candidates' performances?

I honestly do not care about the debate.I think Joe Biden did better in the debate because the topics he talked about I agree with. I do not agree with them being so rude to each other but I like how they were a little confrontational. Yes, debates are suppose to be heated; but, I think the public opinion and media have been overly sensitive about the candidates' performance.
